What is Sphere?

Coaching is a personal development tool that has been proven to support emotional and social intelligence. We are approachable tech powering and scaling its magic. Here's how it works:

What is Coaching?

Personal coaching isn't too different from athletic coaching. Athletic coaches know their athlete’s strengths — and personal coaches do the same. They examine your values, what makes you happy and what drives your energy. They help you create a plan for success and keep you accountable.

Athletic coaches know how to guide their athletes to improve and make them better at what they do. Coaches help people to step into their personal power. They can help you get through a transition, strengthen your sense of self-worth, increase your emotional intelligence, focus on your goals — and get there, 10x faster. Every single person on our small but mighty team is on rotation covering our customer support channels. We see this as a meaningful opportunity to get to know you.

How can I get the most out of Sphere?

The best way to experience Sphere is to start your free 14-day trial and meet each of your matched Guides. That means booking sessions and jumping on calls through Sphere.

These initial sessions let you assess and feel confident that your client-coach relationship is a solid fit. Profiles are meant to give you a glimpse into each Guide, but will never be as solid as a real two-way conversation. And you might be surprised at who you vibe with! Go in with an open mind and heart.

Memberships & Pricing

How much does Sphere cost?

If you are new you can try Sphere for free. Meaning, you’ll get to experience the beauty of Sphere for two weeks before you go all-in. As for our membership pricing & packages the memberships page will give you a detailed breakdown.

How does the 14-day trial work?

You get full access to Sphere during your free 14-day trial. Meaning, you can meet every coach you’re matched with for an initial consultation. We have baked 3 totally complimentary credits into your trial so you can book a full session before making a commitment. Plus, we’ll match you with more Guides during your trial.

You have no obligation to continue beyond your trial, can cancel anytime during your trial and won’t be billed until after your 14-day trial is complete. And don’t worry, we’ll send you an email near the end of your trial to verify you want to continue your journey with us.

Why do I have to put my credit card down for the 14-day trial if it's free?

We want to know you're serious. No, we won't charge you during your trial, and you have no obligation to continue beyond your trial. You won’t be billed until after your 14-day trial is over, and we’ll send you an email reminder near the end of your trial to make sure you want to continue your journey with us. You can cancel at any time by going into your Account Settings, clicking on "Manage Account", and hitting the “Cancel” button.

How do credits work?

Sphere uses a credit system. Our memberships give you credits which translate to coaching minutes. One credit equals 10 minutes of Guidance on Sphere.

Why? When you go to a fitness studio, you don’t think about how much your instructor is making. All you're concerned with is that you love that instructor and you’re getting fit. We want to replicate that same feeling in Sphere when it comes to your growth and your Guides.

Can I change my membership?

When you become a monthly member — on the Dive, Deep or Infinite — you can change your plan anytime by emailing us at support@sphereishere.com. Please note changes made will only be reflected in your following billing cycle.

With the Boost you receive credits upfront and they expire over 3 months. It's non-transferable and non-refundable so you cannot change it.

Can I pause my membership?

No. And here’s why: Unlike a gym membership, Sphere is available anytime, anywhere 24/7. Wherever you are, so is Sphere. In Bali on the beach for a month? We’re in your pocket. And, if you are on the Deep or Infinite, your credits roll over - so no worries if you have a couple left in your cycle. You’ll have them next month.

Can I cancel my membership?

Our boost package is non-refundable and you get credits upfront and they expire over 3 months. The dive, deep and infinite are membership subscriptions, billed monthly with a minimum commitment of six months. Transformation only happens with your continued commitment to growth + development, which is why we’ve built plans that you can cancel anytime after 6-months and up to 48hrs before your next billing cycle.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cold hard cash sent via snail mail. Just kidding. We accept Debit Card and Credit Card— MasterCard, Visa, and AMEX, as well as Apple Pay. Payments are made directly in the app.

Do my credits rollover?

It depends what membership you have. There are no roll-overs on our Boost package or Dive membership. If you are on the Deep or Infinite you can rollover 50% of your monthly credits.

Can I share my credits?

Though Sphere memberships and packages are non-transferable we have built a funky way for you to be able to share the gift of Guidance with your friends and loved ones. If you have unused credits in your current billing cycle you can choose to share them with a friend. The lucky recipient will have 90 days to activate in Sphere and redeem the shared credits. Sharing is enabled for all four of our memberships and packages: Boost, Dive, Deep and Infinite.

Why do you have minimum six month commitments on your memberships?

We do have a plan that isn’t a minimum six-month commitment called the Boost. On this package, you get credits upfront and they expire over 3 months. No commitment if you want to test the waters.Though you get a better deal, more growth and more value on a monthly Guidance membership.

But why 6-month commitment? Commitment breeds transformation. Just like you won't get fit by going to the gym once, you won't grow through coaching if you just do one session. You have to commit, show up and do the work.

How are my Guides chosen for me? How does the matching algorithm work?

More than finding you experts in the area of life you’re keen to be coached in, our matching algorithm considers where you are at in your journey, what you want to be coached on, and how you like to be coached. We blend values with communication style and where you’re looking to work on in your life to find the best-fit Guides for you and your ambitions.

How can I change the answers in my initial on-boarding?

Yes! Jump in to your settings, edit and save your profile data. These changes will influence new Guide additions once you start your 14-day trial.

Can I only have 5 coaches at one time?

No! When you sign up for a 14-day trial you’ll be presented with more coaches based on your interactions in the app.

What if I’m not into the coaches I am matched with?

We match you with additional Guides when you start a free trial. And if you really aren’t feeling the vibes, email support@sphereishere.com and we’ll call you to dig in, and re-evaluate your assessment with you. We’re committed to your growth and are confident there is a perfect coach waiting to work with you on Sphere.

Also: we have to ask, have you booked a session with them? Profiles won't give you the full picture the way diving into a session with some real, two-way communication can. Remember, looking for a best-fit Guide is different from looking for friends on Bumble. Chances are there is someone in your Sphere of Guides that is perfect for you.

Which devices can I use to access the Sphere app? iOS vs. Android?

On iOS we support iPhone 6 and up. On Android we support most modern devices from the largest phone manufacturers that support Android, like Samsung, Huawei and Google. Due to the open-source nature of Android we can't guarantee that the Sphere app will be consistent across different devices. We are always listening to feedback from our Android users in order increase availability & accessibility to our product. If something doesn’t seem right let us know: support@sphereishere.com.

How do I become a Sphere Guide?

Not just anyone can be a coach on Sphere. All of our Guides have been personally vetted and have:

  • Experience, qualifications, certification, and/or training related to their coaching practice
  • A pre-existing professional practice
  • Strong client and community referrals
  • A track record of success helping clients make powerful progress;
  • An insatiable passion for this work
  • A commitment to their continued learning and development (the best Guides are always growing too!)

And there is a difference between a coach, consultant, mentor, and therapist. Sphere specializes in offering coaching experiences and we are definitive about what that means.
